Chapter IV, Cityscape

Urban cities display distinct patterns of intersecting highways and grid divided streets. Our perception of them stems from ingrained patterns of urban infrastructure. While the dots in the photograph might portray different things, our recognition solidifies them as cities emitting lights seen from a plane window.

Chapter IV is a response to AI progress, reflecting on how AI mirrors human patterns to replicate images, I adopted an approach similar to AI's generative thinking model, where I wanted to make an image completely digitally constructed that would resemble something that the human brain would interpret as a photograph of city’s skyline, again playing with the audience's sense of perception.

These images were solely crafted in Photoshop with a brush tool on a black canvas.
